There are 3 spots that should not be massaged during pregnancy. The first one is between the thumb and forefinger on the back of the hand. The next one is in the hollow on top of the shoulder, it's the highest point of the trapezius. And the last spot is a thumb width above the tip of the ankle.
How do I lie for a pregnancy massage?
You will be side lying for this massage with pillows supporting you.
Is it safe to get a massage while pregnant?
Generally yes it is safe. At each massage session some general questions will be asked to make sure you and the baby are going ok to have a massage.
